Kristian
Krøll (Vocals,
Synths, Samplers).
Kristian,
in 1989 initially starts out as a keyboard player alongside Kent
and two other friends, in the band "Among Equals". It
soon becomes clear however, that "Among Equals" current
lead singer isn't the answer, and since nobody else seems keen on
the task, microphone duties fall to Kristian.
When
"Among Equals" splits up in 1991, he goes on to form "Desolate
Mind" along with Kent. The project never really takes off though,
and is dropped after a year or so.
Kristian
takes a couple of years off from music, but starts writing and recording
on his own again in 1995. "There was a time there, whenever
I would sit down at the keyboard, nothing would come out. It's just
one of these things you have no control of", he explains.
His
musical inspirations originates more from mainstream pop of the
80's and early 90's, rather than electronica.
His
greatest inspiration as a singer, is Morten Harket of A-ha, but
also the likes of Robert Smith, Morrissey and Allan Jensen of Gangway,
have been and continue to be great sources of inspiration.
